DJ Blak Boy was born and raised in Athens, GA. During his younger years, he was exposed to all genres of music, which has always been a major part of his life. At the age of only 11, he began to write his own music. As he furthered his journey in the music business, he became familiar with a vast variety of music equipment and ventured more into learning about pro-audio while engineering for himself as well as other acts around the Athens area.

 

Since moving to Atlanta, at the age of 20, his career in music has flourished into reality from a simple dream. Starting off his career as a DJ, DJ Blak Boy performed at college house parties and from there, he gained more traction and moved into some of the most notable night clubs in the city of Atlanta. While in those night clubs, he has been credited for servicing numerous records by successful recording artists such as D.R.A.M., MADEINTYO, K Camp, Rae Sremmurd, Que, OG Maco, and many more.

 

Being introduced to his first major industry job as a tour DJ, DJ Blak Boy was the tour DJ for G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Grammy-nominated recording artist, CyHi The Prynce. He has also worked as the tour DJ for Travis Porter and 24hrs (formerly known as Rolls Royce Rizzy. Currently, DJ Blak Boy is tour DJ for Playboi Carti, where he continues to travel the world and perform in front of thousands of people from festivals to the tv screen.

 

Not limiting his career to only being a DJ, DJ Blak Boy is also working hard on his production career. His production partners, 5thHop, has placed with artists such as Strap Da Fool (1/3 of Travis Porter) and Scotty ATL.
